Effective Lecturing

Convener: Ryan Pilipow, CETLI Graduate Fellow, Ancient History

Instructors have used lectures for a variety of different educational purposes since the development of the university. In this workshop we will consider how one gives a lecture that is engaging and informative. How does one start a lecture? How should one organize a lecture? How do we keep students awake, curious, and even riveted? The goal of the workshop is to equip graduate students with the tools to build lectures that are purposeful and memorable.

Counts toward the CETLI Teaching Certificate. Also counts as a follow-up workshop for SAS participants in TA Training.

Part of the CETLI TA Training Follow-up Series
