Eliciting Feedback From Your Students
Convener: Tony Liu, CTL Graduate Fellow, Computer & Information Science
While gauging how your students are interacting with your teaching and course materials can be a challenge, getting effective feedback from your students can not only help you grow as an instructor, but also make the classroom more welcoming and more responsive to your students’ needs. In this workshop, we will discuss when and how to ask for feedback, as well as ways to incorporate your students’ thoughts and suggestions into your teaching. We will also reflect on the remote learning experience and how eliciting feedback can facilitate communication and collaboration in virtual settings.
TA Training Follow Up Workshop (for new TAs in SAS). All graduate students are welcome.
Counts toward the CTL Teaching Certificate.
