Graduate Student Syllabus Discussion

Facilitator: Catherine Turner

CETLI is holding an informal discussion on syllabuses to help graduate students preparing to teach this semester as well as graduate students drafting syllabuses for the job market. This workshop will focus on how to articulate what students will get out of your course, course organization and expectations, while providing a sense of how an undergraduate or non-specialist will read your syllabus. CETLI will provide a structure for reading and responding to each other’s work as well as thoughts about what your syllabus might contain. Those who want to participate should bring a hard copy of their syllabus but these copies can just be early drafts.

Counts toward the CETLI Certificate.
