Lesson Planning: From Goals To Execution

Convener: Mohammad Fereydounian, CTL Graduate Fellow, Electrical & Systems Engineering

In this workshop we will consider the task of lesson planning in three fundamental phases: Determining the goals of the session; designing a scheme to achieve those goals that takes into account your audience, resources, and constraints; and executing this scheme. We will consider such questions as: How do you determine the sequence and pace of the elements of the lesson? How can you most effectively combine the techniques at your disposal (presentation, class discussion, group work) to achieve your goals? And how can you plan for flexibility in the event of various contingencies?

Registration Required.
