Supporting Students Through Feedback While Teaching Remotely

Convener: CETLI Staff

Feedback on quizzes, tests, papers and other forms of student work is always an important of teaching, but takes on added significance when we are teaching remotely. When our face-to-face channels of communication with students have been disrupted, and may be impossible replicate virtually, the comments we make on students’ work may become our primary means of engaging with them. In this conversation we will consider various ways in which we can give feedback to individuals, and to the class as a whole, so as to not only facilitate student learning, but also maintain real connections with our students at a difficult time.
